Financial Analyst

Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our client's team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for data-driven insights, advanced financial modelling, and delivering strategic value to the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare, analyse, and present comprehensive financial reports and business performance data to senior management.
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with variance analysis and insightful commentary.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Analyse key business metrics and financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to drive business performance.

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Assist with all financial accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor internal controls, identifying and implementing improvements to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Assist with ensuring statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared accurately and submitted on time.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a business partner, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support senior leadership with strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and relevance of financial reporting.

About you:

  • Proven experience in financial roles, combining analysis and control functions.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, with ERP system experience.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex data for diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
