Field Service Engineer

Are you a skilled installer ready to take the next step in your career? Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to join their team, working hands-on across the UK to support customers with expert advice, investigations, and remedial work.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person on site – solving problems, recertifying fire doors, and helping customers get the best from their products. It’s a varied, mobile role where no two days are the same.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering on-site and internal training on installation and product care
  • Completing clear, detailed service reports and documentation
  • Working closely with Customer Services to plan efficient appointments
  • Keeping tools, equipment, and vehicle in top condition
  • Building strong relationships on site to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Travelling across the UK with flexibility for longer days when required
  • Visiting sites to investigate and resolve product or quality issues
  • Carrying out on-site remedial work and applying fire door certification labels
  • Supporting customers with installation advice, tips, and troubleshooting

Additional strengths:

  • NVQ in fenestration, installation, or surveying
  • 5+ years’ installation experience
  • Strong product knowledge and a practical, hands-on approach
  • Confident delivering technical guidance and training
  • Excellent communication skills, from site teams to internal staff
  • Solid understanding of the construction and housing sectors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and D365 CE
