Job title: Sales Account Manager

Our Stoke on Trent based client is looking to recruit a Sales Account Manager to join their growing team. As a Sales Account Manager you will be a committed, proactive and motivated individual. As a ‘Sales Account Manager’ responsibilities will be to:

  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with all key vendors
  • Arrange and attend structured monthly business reviews with all vendors
  • Educate and train sales teams to ensure they are up to date on pricing, deals and new technologies
  • Plan, prioritise and coordinate call out days and promotions to drive sales floor activity in conjunction with the BM and sales managers
  • Manage Southern sales floor diary in conjunction with Sales Managers ensuring consistent coverage from all vendors
  • Manage and lead call out days and promotions by providing a presence, a focus and regular feedback to sales teams on activity against targets
  • Ensure all internal sales tools including CSS are updated on a regular basis and fit for purpose
  • Demonstrate expert product knowledge and keep up to date with new technologies and developments in the computing market
  • Show an understanding and awareness of trends and market changes and how they may impact the business
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in Sales, Commercial and Purchasing to ensure that communications and relations between the departments are effective and consistent

Essential Requirements:

  • Confident and outgoing personality
  • A proven track record of building relationships as an account manager in sales or in a similar role
  • Proven experience of achievement in a target driven environment
  • The ability to recognise and focus on the key issues and strategy as highlighted by BM
  • Ideally an interest in computing products
  • Organisation skills – able to plan and prioritise own time and be self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders, individuals and groups, at all levels

Location: Stoke on Trent

Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 OTE £25,000 uncapped commission (£400 bonus guaranteed in your first 3 months)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm
